Silage Leachate Management System: Waste storage tank to hold low-flow silage leachate, waste transfer, heavy use area protection (1,800 sq.ft.) vegetated treatment area (0.50 ac.), critical area treatment (0.50 ac.). Project was completed in 2017.
Waste Management System: Waste Storage Facility (500,00 gallons), waste transfer, pumping plant, underground outlet (246 ft.), roofs and covers (8,000 sq.ft.) roof over waste storage to exclude precipitation. Subsurface drainage around storage (1,000 ft.), heavy use area protection (140 sq. ft.), access road (455 ft.), fence (300ft.), critical area treatment (0.5 acres). Project completed in 2018 and funded through Ag NPS Round 23 and EQIP.
Cover Crop: Established vegetated cover crop on 40 acres in 2018 over the winter months to protect cropland from erosion.
